Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.
During a May 2012 episode of Dancing With The Stars, dancing champ and alumna Julianne Hough appeared to promote her new movie Rock of Ages. She and her co-stars, including Mary J. Blige but not Tom Cruise, danced and sang for like four minutes straight. Julianne did an amazing job and looked amazing and proved why she is the best (I’m not kidding???).
At the end of the performance, host Tom Bergeron caught up with Jules to ask about the movie and what she thought of that season’s contestants. It’s boring until he asked about her personal life.
“How’s that boyfriend treating you,” he asked about Julianne’s boyfriend at the time, Ryan Seacrest.
“He’s treating me pretty well,” Julianne responded.
IMAGINE. IMAGINE. IMAGINE RYAN SEACREST HOSTING THE OSCARS RED CARPET AND SOMEONE ASKING HIM HOW JULIANNE WAS TREATING HIM. IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN. Julianne just danced and sang her ass off for four minutes straight and Tom Bergeron had the audacity to ask her about her boyfriend, A MAN WHO TALKS FOR A LIVING.
Listen, I understand the question because we’re all curious about famous people’s personal lives and I think Ryan Seacrest is an extremely talented man, but C’MON. Can you imagine returning to your college to perform in front of all your professors and show how smart you are and how much you’ve grown only to be asked about your older, boring boyfriend? I am distraught.
