Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.
On May 29, 2020, Julianne Hough and husband Brooks Laich announced what we all knew: Their relationship was over.
In a joint statement to People magazine, the couple wrote, “We have lovingly and carefully taken the time we have needed to arrive at our decision to separate. We share an abundance of love and respect for one another and will continue to lead with our hearts from that place. We kindly request your compassion and respect for our privacy moving forward.”
If you’ve been following my Instagram (@paginaskinner), then you know I began speculating that something was up back in September 2018, when Julianne got bangs (something women typically only do when they’re going through something, something she has even admitted).
In July 2019, Julianne went on her husband Brooks’ podcast and said that curiosity saved her life before coming out as “not straight” in August.
That same month, Brooks told his podcast listeners that Julianne likes to have her toes sucked in bed. And then sometime between August and December, Julianne’s two dogs, Harley and Lexi mysteriously died.
In December 2019, Julianne posted a screenshot of a text conversation between her and her mom with a text about “painting a new life.”
At the beginning of 2020, Brooks posted about wanting to learn more about his sexuality, then Julianne stepped out barefoot and with her left hand in her pocket. That same month, US Weekly reported that Julianne and Brooks were spending time apart.
In March, Julianne posted an inspirational quote about being single during quarantine.
In April, Brooks posted a video without his wedding ring and then a few days later, he left LA for Idaho. Julianne stayed in LA.
A few weeks later, Julianne told EXTRA that she and Brooks were “figuring out their shit.” Then she stepped out with another man (barefoot again).
