Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.
My favorite piece of trivia to come out of the Footloose press tour was Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald talking about Dennis Quaid and how he’s an “actor’s actor.”
While promoting the movie with Johnjay & Rich, Julianne explained how Dennis Quaid, who played her father in Footloose, wasn’t just a movie star.
“He’s, like, an actor’s actor,” Julianne told the radio hosts. “He’s not just, like, one of those actors who are movie stars and, like, don’t actually give their full performance when the camera’s not on them. He’s the shit.”
Then while speaking to Inside The Story, Julianne’s Footloose co-star Kenny Wormald explained that while the camera isn’t on Dennis Quaid during a scene, he still gives his best performance so he can help the other actors deliver their best performance.
Why I think this is so funny is because from what I understand that is basic courtesy while filming. The only movie Julianne had been in previously was Burlesque, so I guess Christina Aguilera didn’t do this. And Kenny Wormald had starred in a Center Stage remake (or sequel, I forget), which was basically straight-to-DVD, so I can’t imagine those actors knew what they were doing.
But Dennis Quaid, the actor’s actor!!!!
