Rock The Vote is an original series, where I make an educated and researched guess on who certain celebrities are voting for Nov. 3, 2020.
Actor Dennis Quaid seems to have supported both Republicans and Democrats.
In September, Quaid appeared in an ad to “defeat despair” about coronavirus, according to Vulture. President Donald Trump ordered the ad, according to Politico, yet Quaid took to Instagram to let everyone know his ad wasn’t political in any way.
Shortly after that, Quaid’s son, Jack, tweeted “Fuck Donald Trump,” according to Yahoo.
In April, Dennis Quaid told The Daily Beast that he though Trump was handling the coronavirus “in a good way.”
“I’m an independent—I’ve voted both ways throughout my life, swinging like a pendulum toward what the country needed at the time—and I think this might be an opportunity for the country to come together again,” he told The Daily Beast.
In 2008, Quaid attended a fundraising rally for President Barack Obama, according to E.
In 2018, Quaid was set to play President Ronald Reagan in a film. He told Fox News that the movie was “not political.”
In 2017, Quaid was set to play President George W. Bush in Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story: Katrina. The project got delayed and Quaid had to drop out.
