50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 26: Press is Part of The Job

True.

Scott Eastwood understands the business. He understands that making the movie is the “fun part” and then going on the long, exhausting press tour is “part of the job.”

That’s what he told Natalie Morales and Kit Hoover on Access while promoting Pacific Rim Uprising.

“You gotta go promote a movie, so people know it exists,” he says.

This is a true statement. Unfortunately for actors, press tours are “part of the job” and not really fun for them. To be fair, it’s not really fun for journalists either because we know they hate the entire thing. One time I interviewed Dax Sheppard in a hotel room (other people were there) and it was one of the worst experiences for both of us.

That’s all.

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 25: He Just Wants To Be Happy

Don’t we all, though?

Scott Eastwood just wants to be happy.

While on The Josh Macuga Show, a show that takes place in Eastwood’s friend’s husband’s apartment, Eastwood says he just wants what everyone else wants in life, which is to “be happy.”

“I say that with a smile on my face, but I mean, you know, everyone wants to figure out where their place is in this matrix is, right,” he says. “You know, I mean, I’m lucky in the sense that I get to do what I love. I get to go out and make film — at least they’re allowing me to do that now — Hollywood is.”

Same.

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 24: “That’s good water.”

Cool.

On the YouTube channel Scott Eastwood x Made Here, which has 7,000 subscribers, there are several videos about different things, like how water is filtered. It’s a little confusing because I thought Made Here was Eastwood’s clothing line, but this channel covers more than just clothes — it covers how different things are made. Hence, “made here.” Ha-ha. I get it now.

In the video “Which is better: Bottled Water or Tap? Scott Eastwood unravels the mystery,” Eastwood talks to water experts about how water is made (?) and filtered until consumers can drink it. He interviews different people and it feels like a 60 Minutes feature. The thumbnail for the video is Eastwood shirtless drinking, which is fitting for his entire brand.

At some point in the video, Eastwood takes a drink of water and says, “That’s good water.” That’s the highlight of the video.

But water seems to be a concern for Eastwood, who referenced the “water crisis we’re in” a few years before his water video. While promoting Pacific Rim Uprising, Eastwood tells the reporter that the water crisis is humanity’s main threat.

“Something that is not human is our threat and we have to set aside our differences as a human race to come together to survive,” he says.

OK!

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 23: He Is Still Dating This Woman????

Happy for her. Know that I am.

I have some alarming news to report and you probably have guessed it based on the headline of this blog post. There are websites and online videos that suggest Scott Eastwood, the muse of this series, is still dating the woman he was seen with in 2017.

In this video, which was uploaded in February OF THIS YEAR, it says Eastwood is STILL dating a woman named Maddie. I’m not going to type her last name just in case she has a Google alert on her name.

I am not good at math but it feels like to me these two have been dating for four years. What’s even more concerning is that she has no social media presence. And the only thing more concerning that that is I read one time she graduated from Texas State, so it’s confirmed Eastwood likes brunette Texas women and yet here I am!!! Not Eastwood’s girlfriend.

I need to lay down.

UPDATE: I JUST FOUND HER BROADCAST REEL FROM COLLEGE

I literally also have a reel like this on YouTube somewhere wearing the exact same black blazer. I need time to process this.

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 22: He Felt Paul Walker

They were friends because of course.

Scott Eastwood was in the movie Fast and the Furious 8, which is part of a franchise about men driving fast cars with hot woman around (I think, I have never seen any of them). Paul Walker starred in a lot of them (not sure how many and too lazy to look it up) until he died in 2013. Apparently, Eastwood and Walker were friends before Walker’s death (hot guys just know each other) and Eastwood has said he took the role because he felt like it would honor Walker.

But more than that, Eastwood revealed to Men’s Health that he “felt” Walker on set of the movie.

“On some days I would feel his presence there and suddenly I’d be on the verge of tears,” he said. “There were moments when I just felt completely overwhelmed by missing him.”

I used to be obsessed with Paul Walker, even though I have seen exactly one movie of his (the one with the water and Jessica Alba, I think). Despite never really seeing any of his movies, I was so obsessed with him that he is the inspiration behind all my passwords to my logins.

Also, I just learned this. So I need to change all my passwords.

That’s all.

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 21: He Wants Kids

Like father, like son!

Scott Eastwood wants a family someday! We know this because when an Entertainment Tonight reporter asked him what was on his bucket list, he said “Mount Everest” and then “kids.” Like two to three kids.

As of now, Eastwood does not have any kids (that we know of), but his father had eight kids (I think), so maybe Scott will do the same! How fun!

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 20: He Wanted To Be in Passengers

The Chris Pratt role.

In an interview with Glamour, Scott Eastwood says he wanted the Chris Pratt role in Passengers, but didn’t get it.

“…there was a role recently that I thought was one of the best scripts out there that I auditioned for,” he says. “It’s called Passengers, and it’s coming out in December.”

Passengers is a movie I have not seen, but I know it’s about two people who are on a space shuttle and they’re put to sleep and then when Pratt accidentally wakes up, he wakes up Jennifer Lawrence too because he doesn’t want to be bored (you know what men have? the audacity). If I remember correctly (and I’m not going to look it up), it was not received well critically.

Even though I’ve never seen the movie, I have spent a good chunk of time thinking about Pratt and watching the press interviews with Pratt and Lawrence promoting Passengers.

I don’t think Eastwood could have saved that movie. Thanks, I’m a movie critic.

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 19: He Loves All His Exes

OK!

Scott Eastwood was on a friend’s podcast/show/I’m not sure, where he promoted Pacific Rim Uprising and just chatted about things, like women and other things I’ve already forgotten about. I found myself smiling during the interview because it’s the first time I’ve actually thought I could get along with him. He seemed nice and charismatic! And he had jokes! That were funny!

After the host/friend had Eastwood try on his wedding ring (Eastwood made funny jokes about it!), the host asked Eastwood if there was a “one who got away.”

“Every woman that I’ve dated has been incredible in their own way and I have love and will always love them and I just think it boils down to timing, right,” Eastwood says. “Timing in life is everything. and maybe I wasn’t ready. You know doesn’t mean that … Life is just another chapter. The book isn’t written yet.”

That didn’t totally make sense, but I kind of get it! I’m happy he still has love for all the women he dated, including the one who cheated on him with Ashton Kutcher! Happy for all involved!

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 18: I Think His Co-Star Actually Hates Him

This is not sarcasm!

Scott Eastwood was on the podcast Chicks in the Office (I have never listened to it, not that you asked) and during the interview, the two co-hosts bring up how they previously interviewed his The Longest Ride co-star, Britt Robertson. They said she had a lot of “sarcastic” jabs to throw his way.

But I don’t think Robertson was being sarcastic at all.

“For The Longest Ride, I literally tried to convince myself that I loved Scott Eastwood because otherwise,” Robertson begins to say during the podcast episode they’re referencing.

“It’s probably not that hard,” one of the co-hosts says, laughing.

With that, you think Robertson is being sarcastic, but then she goes on.

“No, it’s very, very hard,” she says. “He’s really a difficult human being. I mean such a sweetheart, but, like, sooo dumb. I love him. I do. I love him, but I would tell him, ‘You have to listen. You can’t listen.’ He’s one of those guys, who’s just like, ‘I’m great. Let’s get on a horse. I’m a cowboy.’ It was a tricky … But I remember being like, ‘Oh, I love this guy, he’s so sweet. He’s so dumb. How nice.’ And then we did the press tour together, and I was like, ‘I wanna pull my hair out,’ because I didn’t have to love him anymore. But again, sweet guy. Wouldn’t say a bad word about him until I did.”

Calling Eastwood dumb is not sarcastic! Calling Eastwood ugly would be sarcasm! But dumb? With peace and love, he probably is!

Eastwood laughs when the co-hosts tell him about what Robertson said and he adds that the two had a great relationship and she is one who can dish it and take it.

OK!

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 17: I Think About His Wrinkles A Lot

They’re hot.

Welcome to 50 Days of Scott Eastwood, a Just PMSing original series, where we dive deep into the man, the myth, the legend, Clint Eastwood’s son, Scott. Photo by Gage Skidmore.

I think about Scott Eastwood once a day, mainly because I stupidly challenged myself to write about him for 50 days straight, but more specifically, I think about his wrinkles every day.

Eastwood has crows’ feet around his eyes. He also has a bunch of wrinkles in his forehead. This is not a bad thing. In fact, it makes him look older and hotter and more rugged. However, I think about them every day because crows’ feet and forehead wrinkles on women are not considered attractive.

I don’t have a solution for this. It’s 11:07 p.m. the night before this goes live. I can’t solve society’s unfair gendered beauty expectations right now. These are just my thoughts. Why aren’t my forehead wrinkles considered hot?
