50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 9: Mario Lopez is Obsessed With Him

Friends Forever.

In 2014, Scott Eastwood appeared on Extra to promote his movie Fury. Mario Lopez interviewed him, where the two men called each other “partner,” “man,” and “buddy.”

Lopez first asks Eastwood about the movie and then immediately starts fangirling.

“As a side note, dude, I just gotta tell you, I am your dad’s number one fan,” Lopez says.

Eastwood tells him he’s heard that and then Lopez basically begs Eastwood to get Clint Eastwood on Extra. Scott Eastwood has an awkward grin through the entire thing.

Even though Scott Eastwood met Lopez in 2014, it obviously didn’t make a lasting impression on him because during a (bizarre) 2015 interview where Eastwood was promoting The Longest Ride, Eastwood couldn’t remember where Lopez worked.

The interview was essentially a trivia game and one of the questions was who the main host of Extra was. Eastwood thought about it until his co-star Britt Robertson answered correctly (it’s Mario Lopez).

At some point, however, Eastwood and Lopez became actual friends. Eastwood posted on Instagram that he and Lopez did jiu jitsu with some young kid, who is apparently a pro in it.

“Great training bro,” Lopez commented on the photo. “I’m glad Nico took it easy on us.”

Dude, bro, partner, buddy, man, but most importantly: Friends Forever (this is a Saved By The Bell joke, a sitcom Lopez starred in). Thank you.

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 8: “No Bullshit Gym”

Come again?

Scott Eastwood graced the cover of Men’s Health sometime in 2017. Even though the cover photo is just Eastwood standing with his arms crossed, it was shot in a “no bullshit gym.”

“Had fun shooting this in LA in a no bullshit gym,” Eastwood wrote on Instagram. “My faviorite kinda gym. No fancy shit.”

What is a “no bullshit gym” with “no fancy shit?” Please advise.

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 7: He Knows Brody Jenner?

It makes sense.

Not only does Scott Eastwood know Hilary Duff, but he also apparently knows Brody Jenner. It’s quite possible that sons of famous people just automatically know one another, but I did not know this until I saw Eastwood post on Instagram about Jenner’s DJ set on New Years Eve.

Then I Googled “scott eastwood brody jenner” as one does and there is a hilarious Jezebel article that basically says everything I was thinking.

“Scott Eastwood is a boring, handsome, 29-year-old who is famous for being the son of Clint Eastwood,” the article reads. “Brody Jenner is a boring, handsome, 32-year-old who is famous for being the son of Caitlyn Jenner.”

I could quote the entire article, but just read it yourself.

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 6: He And Hilary Duff Once Had A Conversation

When you’re single, you might as well mingle.

Something I did not know: Scott Eastwood and Hilary Duff once “flirted.”

In a 2016 E! News article, the writer starts off with: “When you’re single, you might as well mingle.” So true.

The article goes on to say that Duff was enjoying a night out with her girlfriend at Catch LA when suddenly Eastwood entered the picture and they “began to have a conversation.”

Wow.

“At one point, she was very flirtatious with Scott. The two talked for quite some time,” an insider told E! News. “Hilary was all smiles and looked happier than ever despite her recent split.”

The two left the restaurant and went to 1OAK nightclub. But another insider claims there was nothing romantic going on. They were just friendly.

Wow, too bad. Would have loved to see Eastwood as a stepdad to Duff’s kid.

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 5: He’s Working on Another Romantic Film

Nick Cassavetes will direct it.

While promoting something (I think Outpost) on the Chicks in the Office podcast, Scott Eastwood revealed that he’s been trying to get a romantic film made for “a number of years now.”

“I love the script,” he says. “I’ve been trying to get it made. It’s a passion project of mine.”

He says Nick Cassavetes, who directed The Notebook, will direct it. He adds that his project is The Notebook-like and he is “excited” to go back to the romantic genre.

“Something that takes its time, really develops some different sort of story-telling,” he says.

On Instagram in 2019, Eastwood shared a throwback photo The Longest Ride, a Nicholas Sparks movie he starred in in 2014.

“Love this movie I did,” he wrote in the caption. “It’s was a special on. One that makes you feel. That’s why I started making movies. To make art that moves people.”

So true.

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 4: He’s A Swiftie

He stars in Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” music video.

There are a lot of things to like about Scott Eastwood. He is handsome. He’s in movies. He has a dog. And he’s a Swiftie.

Without a doubt, the best film Eastwood has ever starred in is Taylor Swift’s music video for “Wildest Dreams,” where he plays her movie co-star and offscreen love interest who is actually married in real life (It’s kind of complicated). It’s amazing. Unmatched. Nothing like it.

Even though it’s amazing, his agents and managers initially warned against him starring in the music video.

“They said, ‘Oh, we don’t want you to do that! Why would you be Taylor Swift’s boy toy?’ and I said, ‘Why the hell not,'” Eastwood said in an interview.

The video was released in August 2015, but months before that, Eastwood was asked if Swift was “cool or uncool” in an interview and he said “cool.” Wow, a true Swiftie.

After the release of the music video, Eastwood wrote on Instagram that Swift was a “rockstar” and a “friend.”

“She is a great person and those are hard to find in your life,” he wrote. “When you do…. Hold tight.”

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 3: I’m Uncomfortable

Watch a reporter ask him out on camera.

During a 2019 segment with Extra TV, reporter Jenn Lahmers interviewed Scott Eastwood and “busted his chops.” And by “busted his chops,” she just touched him, asked him for advice on driving, and then asked him to be her plus one to the company’s holiday party.

“Open bar,” Eastwood asks. “I’m on the cusp.”

The segment ends, but in another video, Billy Bush (lol) breaks down the flirting between Lahmers and Eastwood, telling Lahmers what a great job she did. And then in another video, Bush asks Lahmers if Eastwood had made a move yet. Lahmers says he had not slid into her DMs yet.

I hope for everyone involved they ended up at least getting a drink; otherwise, it’s all just too uncomfortable for me to bear.

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 2: His Relationship with His Father

Scott says Clint is “old-school.”

Scott Eastwood, actor and Hottest Man Alive, might be best known for being the son of Clint Eastwood and flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves. (Scott is Clint’s fifth child, however on Scott’s birth certificate, it reads “Father Declined.”) In almost every interview Scott does, the reporter asks about his father.

Scott grew up in Hawaii with his mother but moved to California to live with his dad when he was in high school. Scott says he first realized his dad was the Clint Eastwood when he was 8 and watched Unforgiven. Scott was a rebellious child, often sneaking out. One time Clint punched Scott in the face for leaving his sister at a party. Scott always describes his father as old-school, adding that Clint makes Scott audition to be in Clint’s movies. Scott auditioned for American Sniper (he didn’t get it, but editor’s note: He should have). In the beginning of his career, Scott didn’t want to get jobs by simply being Clint’s son, so Scott went by his mother’s last name until eventually taking on Eastwood.

“My dad is very old-school and he’s very, very tough on his sons —I have an older brother — and it just doesn’t happen like that in our family,” Scott said on Joe Rogan’s podcast. “There’s no handouts. You want something, you gotta go get it and I can’t thank him enough for that because it never gave me any backup. It didn’t make me go, ‘Well, I can just sit around.’ It created drive. Hard work and drive and those are all the things it takes to make somebody successful.”

One time Scott took a date to dinner with his dad and Clint told the date to ditch Scott and go out with him. I think about this once a week.

The point is: They have a relationship. An old-school one!

50 Days of Scott Eastwood, Day 1: Who is Scott Eastwood?

Let’s get to know our guy.

Welcome to 50 Days of Scott Eastwood, a Just PMSing original series, where we dive deep into the man, the myth, the legend, Clint Eastwood’s son, Scott. Photo by Gage Skidmore.

The thing about Scott Eastwood is he’s the most attractive man alive. And yet he’s not on every billboard in Hollywood or starring in every movie like I think he should be. He should be the face of a cologne. Maybe like Calvin Klein. That would be a good one. He should also be a superhero. He should have been in Knives Out instead of Chris Evans. He should be Captain America instead of Chris Evans. Basically what I’m saying is Chris Evans needs to go and Scott Eastwood needs to replace him.

But if you don’t know, Scott Eastwood is an actor but more notably, he’s Clint Eastwood’s son. He’s starred in The Longest Ride, a Nicholas Sparks movie, where he plays a bull rider with brain damage. He was also in a movie with Ana de Armas called Overdrive. He was in Suicide Squad (never saw it). And he was in a Fast and the Furious film (never saw it). He starred in Taylor Swift’s music video for “Wildest Dreams” and it’s the single best piece of cinema in recent history. He’s been in other movies, too, but you get the gist. He’s an actor. He acts. He’s incredible.

You all wanted to know more about him, so let me answer your questions.

Will he star in a Dirty Harry reboot?

I had to Google this. Apparently Dirty Harry is a Clint Eastwood film that I have never seen.

There was a Reddit thread about this:

Did he go to college?

He attended  Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and earned a degree in communications. That college has a 43% acceptance rate, according to Google. My alma mater has a 68% acceptance rate, so do what you want with that information.

What’s his relationship like with his father? His mother?

I will dive more into this on another day. His mother is a flight attendant.

Siblings?

He has so many fucking siblings, it’s actually insane. Clint Eastwood does not stop. Clint has eight kids that he claims. Scott has one full sibling and roughly seven half-siblings.

Why is he so attractive?

I don’t know. It haunts me.

High school attended. College? Just curious where he was educated. Good luck!

OK, wow, a lot of interest in his education! He went to Carmel High School in California.

When are you going to watch Gran Torino? He plays a punk wannabe hip-hop kid in it.

This is the second time someone has suggested I watch this movie. Idk, fam, sounds kind of awful.

His relationship with Clint

I’m going to dive into this deeper on a different day. They do have a relationship, though!

Who is Scott Eastwood?

An actor

Did Clint spank him as a child?

Considering he punched him, I assume so.
