Rock The Vote, Day 15: Madonna

Madonna actually hates Trump.

Rock The Vote is an original series, where I make an educated and researched guess on who certain celebrities are voting for Nov. 3, 2020.

Madonna hates President Donald Trump.

The reason she was on my list for this series was because recently she shared an video of Louis Farrakhan, “the Nation of Islam leader who has spouted anti-Semitic rhetoric over the years,” according to jta.com. In 2016, Farrakhan praised Trump.

In July, Madonna posted (and later deleted) a conspiracy theory video about coronavirus that said there is a cure for the virus and that wearing masks are unnecessary.

“The truth will set us all free, but some people don’t want to see the truth, especially the people in power who stand to make money from this long, drawn-out search for a vaccine, which has been proven and been available for months,” Madonna captioned the video, according to Vogue.

So I thought Madonna might be racist and crazy and align herself with Trump. (Trump has a history of using racist language and lying about COVID-19.)

However, that doesn’t seem to be the case. After Trump was elected president in 2016, Madonna told the crowd at the women’s march that she thought about “blowing up the White House” after Trump was elected. Madonna told Vogue Italia that she fled America after Trump was elected.

In Trump’s niece’s book about the president, Mary Trump writes that Madonna once refused a date with Trump. Before that, Madonna called Trump a “wimp.”

About 10 days ago, Madonna tweeted that she voted for Vice President Joe Biden for the 2020 election.

Rock The Vote, Day 14: Dennis Quaid

Dennis Quaid is from Texas … But will he vote red?

Rock The Vote is an original series, where I make an educated and researched guess on who certain celebrities are voting for Nov. 3, 2020.

Actor Dennis Quaid seems to have supported both Republicans and Democrats.

In September, Quaid appeared in an ad to “defeat despair” about coronavirus, according to Vulture. President Donald Trump ordered the ad, according to Politico, yet Quaid took to Instagram to let everyone know his ad wasn’t political in any way.

Shortly after that, Quaid’s son, Jack, tweeted “Fuck Donald Trump,” according to Yahoo.

In April, Dennis Quaid told The Daily Beast that he though Trump was handling the coronavirus “in a good way.”

“I’m an independent—I’ve voted both ways throughout my life, swinging like a pendulum toward what the country needed at the time—and I think this might be an opportunity for the country to come together again,” he told The Daily Beast.

In 2008, Quaid attended a fundraising rally for President Barack Obama, according to E.

In 2018, Quaid was set to play President Ronald Reagan in a film. He told Fox News that the movie was “not political.”

“The script is not political. Reagan was a Democrat who turned Republican. And that’s what I like about it. It’s just the story of the man who was Ronald Reagan.”

In 2017, Quaid was set to play President George W. Bush in Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story: Katrina. The project got delayed and Quaid had to drop out.

I believe Dennis Quaid is voting for Trump.

Rock The Vote, Day 13: Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson one time turned down performing at a Bush fundraiser.

Rock The Vote is an original series, where I make an educated and researched guess on who certain celebrities are voting for Nov. 3, 2020.

There is little information about Jessica Simpson, singer and actress, and her political views on the Internet. When you Google “Jessica Simpson Donald Trump,” you find a paparazzi video of a cameraman asking Simpson what her advice for President Donald Trump is. She offers up “be the president.”

There are other blogs or articles claiming Simpson is a Republican, yet there is nothing to support those claims.

I read Simpson’s 2019 memoir Open Book, where she wrote about how patriotic she is and how much she loves supporting and entertaining the troops. She also writes about a time where she performed for President George W. Bush (a Texan like Simpson) and she met Gale Norton, Secretary of the Interior. Simpson congratulated her on decorating the White House.

However, in 2004, Simpson turned down performing at a Bush fundraiser, even though she was trying to speak to Congress about Operation Smile, a nonprofit that helps kids get surgery if they have facial deformities.

“It just feels wrong,” a Simpson insider told Reuters, according to today.com, adding that Simpson keeps her political views private. “She would love to meet the president and talk about Operation Smile … but she can’t do it at a fund-raiser for the Republican Party.”

Also in Simpson’s memoir, she wrote that the morning after she met her now-husband Eric Johnson in 2010, he left her for a Marianne Williamson conference when Williamson was a motivational speaker and author. Williamson ran for the 2020 Democratic nomination with the slogan “Think. Love. Contribute.”
I don’t believe Jessica Simpson is voting. If she is, I think she will vote Donald Trump.

Rock The Vote, Day 12: Pamela Anderson

Pamela Anderson loves Russia.

Rock The Vote is an original series, where I make an educated and researched guess on who certain celebrities are voting for Nov. 3, 2020.

Pamela Anderson is a model, actress, Kid Rock’s ex-wife, and a political activist and she actively fights for animals rights.

In 2019, Pamela Anderson shared a photo of her and President Donald Trump at his birthday party, along with an open letter to the president asking him to pardon her friend Julian Assange, WikiLeaks founder. The Department of Justice charged Assange for “conspiring to break into a Pentagon computer system to reveal government secrets,” according to USA Today. WikiLeaks released hacked Democratic emails during the 2016 election.

In May 2019, Anderson tweeted about the dangers of cyberbullying and said Trump set a “horrible example” of it.

In a 2016 interview, Anderson said she was a Bernie Sanders fan but planned to vote for presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and said this about Trump: “I think it had something to do with beauty contests. There were a lot of beautiful girls there. That in itself shows you [something]: what was he involved in that for? He says he loves women more than anybody — yeah, but for the wrong reasons.

“He acts like a spoiled, rich brat who’s never had any repercussions for anything. He’s delusional.”

Anderson is friends with Russia’s president, Vladamir Putin. “I’ve fallen in love with Russia,” she said. “In a crazy way [because] Putin is a very powerful man, he can be the hero. He loves wildlife. I know it’s basically a dictatorship, and he’s for all sorts of things I don’t agree with, but it needs someone as powerful as that to do something.”

In 2017, Anderson told cable news host Megyn Kelly that movie producer Harvey Weinstein’s victims should have “known what they were getting into,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. She didn’t apologize for her remarks.

In a 2018 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Anderson says she voted for Jill Stein in 2016, not Hillary Clinton. Stein was The Green Party’s 2016 nominee. Anderson also said her ex-husband Kid Rock wasn’t even Republican when they were married: “When he was with me, he didn’t hunt. I don’t think he was very Republican, but now he is. Oh well.”

I believe Anderson is voting for Joe Biden.

Rock The Vote, Day 11: Ryan Seacrest

Ryan Seacrest does not make his political opinions known.

Rock The Vote is an original series, where I make an educated and researched guess on who certain celebrities are voting for Nov. 3, 2020.

Ryan Seacrest, host of American Idol and Live With Kelly and Ryan and his own radio show, is pretty quiet about his political views. I cannot find any hard evidence on who he might vote for in a few weeks.

In 2016, Forbes published an article with who each of their Celebrity 100 list is voting for and they put “unclear” for Seacrest.

In 2012, it was rumored that Seacrest would become a host on the Today Show. Amid these rumors, Seacrest hosted Vice President Joe Biden on his radio show in an effort to look like a more serious host, according to LA Times. Typically, Seacrest is a pop culture host and doesn’t dive into politics.

While working on the Golden Globes red carpet in 2017, Seacrest seemed to take a dig at President Donald Trump and fellow TV host Billy Bush. While talking to This Is Us star Milo Ventimiglia about salad, Seacrest said, “This is Milo and Ryan locker room talk,” according to Page Six. Seacrest’s remark seemed to be a reference to a conversation between Bush and Trump, where Trump said he could grab women “by the pussy.” Trump called the comment “locker room talk.”

Seacrest follows both Trump and Biden on Twitter.

I do not know who Seacrest is voting for. He seems to keep his political opinions to himself. My gut says Biden, however.

Rock The Vote, Day 10: Tom Brady

Tom Brady and Donald Trump used to golf together.

Rock The Vote is an original series, where I make an educated and researched guess on who certain celebrities are voting for Nov. 3, 2020.

Tom Brady is a football player and he’s also husband to supermodel, Gisele Bundchen. He also kisses his kids on the mouth.

Tom Brady had a friendship with President Donald Trump in the early 2000s, Brady told Howard Stern on Stern’s radio show. Trump would support Brady at his football games and then they would play golf together. Trump asked Brady to speak at the Republican convention, but Brady turned him down. Brady did have a “Make America Great Again” red hat in his locker, according to Yahoo. “You can’t undo things — not that I would undo a friendship — but the political support is totally different than the support of a friend,” Brady told Stern about his friendship with Trump.

In 2016, Brady refused to tell reporters who he voted for even after he promised he would disclose it.

In 2017, Bundchen wrote in a tweet that she and Brady did not vote for Trump in the 2016 election. According to The Daily Beast, Brady didn’t even vote. The Smoking Gun also reports that Brady isn’t exactly a voter.

I don’t believe Tom Brady is voting. I don’t think he knows how to.

Rock The Vote, Day 9: JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers

Let’s see what we can find out about these two Bachelor alums.

Rock The Vote is an original series, where I make an educated and researched guess on who certain celebrities are voting for Nov. 3, 2020.

JoJo Fletcher was ABC’s 12th Bachelorette. She met and got engaged to Jordan Rodgers on the show. They were scheduled to marry this year but the wedding has been delayed due to the pandemic. They live in Dallas, Texas.

JoJo follows President Donald Trump on Twitter. She also follows former President Barack Obama. She also follows pastor Joel Osteen. In 2015, Osteen called Trump a “good man.”

Not much can be found about JoJo Fletcher’s politics, but her fiance, Jordan Rodgers, follows Republican Congressman Dan Crenshaw on Instagram. And even though Jordan Rodgers doesn’t follow Republican talking head Tomi Lahren on Instagram, he and his sister-in-law, Aimee Rodgers, like a lot of her posts. Jordan liked this post and this post and this post. Aimee Rodgers liked too many posts to even link.

Aimee Rodgers is the wife to Jordan Rodgers’ brother that he still speaks to. The Rodgers family hasn’t been on speaking terms in many years, something that was highlighted on the season of The Bachelorette. Aaron Rodgers, football player and Jordan’s older brother, does not speak to anyone in the family. One of the things that divided the family was Aaron Rodgers’ reluctance to Christianity. In 2018, Aaron Rodgers supported players kneeling during the National Anthem, which serves as a sign of protest to police brutality in America. Trump does not support kneeling.

I believe Jordan Rodgers is voting for Trump and therefore I believe JoJo Fletcher is too.

Rock The Vote, Day 8: Chris Harrison

Chris Harrison follows Dan Crenshaw on Instagram.

Rock The Vote is an original series, where I make an educated and researched guess on who certain celebrities are voting for Nov. 3, 2020.

Let’s examine Chris Harrison, host of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. My friend Chantal requested Harrison.

Harrison follows Republican Congressman Dan Crenshaw on Instagram and has liked a few of this posts, including one about “the hypocrisy” from Democrats.

Harrison follows President Donald Trump on Twitter. He does not follow presidential nominee Joe Biden.

I believe Chris Harrison is voting for Trump. That was easy.

Rock The Vote, Day 7: Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan is interesting.

Rock The Vote is an original series, where I make an educated and researched guess on who certain celebrities are voting for Nov. 3, 2020.

Lindsay Lohan is an actress, singer, reality TV star, and former party girl.

According to Variety, Lohan tweeted her support of Hillary Clinton after the 2016 election, tweeting “I couldn’t understand you more” and then “Retweet if you want a recount.” Those tweets has since been deleted, however, according to Variety.

But eventually she came around to President Donald Trump because in 2017, Lindsay Lohan tweeted “to stop bullying [Trump] and start trusting him.”

Earlier that year, she told Good Morning Britain that she doesn’t agree with Trump’s policies but people should give him a chance.

“I don’t agree with his policies and the things that he’s doing, but at the end of the day he is the President right now, so what’s the point in picking on someone instead of just seeing what they’re capable of or not capable of? ‘I think it’s just, people are making it overly dramatic. I do think his Twitter needs to be taken away or deleted. I just think you know, don’t kick someone when they’re down.”

In 2004, Donald Trump told Howard Stern that Lohan would probably be good in bed.

“She’s probably deeply troubled and therefore great in bed,” he said. “How come the deeply troubled women, you know, deeply, deeply troubled, they’re always the best in bed?”

More recently, Lohan has moved overseas and tried to help Syrian refugees, including the time she livestreamed her “rescuing” some kids.
I don’t believe Lindsay Lohan is voting.

Rock The Vote, Day 6: Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton has known Donald Trump all her life.

Rock The Vote is an original series, where I make an educated and researched guess on who certain celebrities are voting for Nov. 3, 2020.

Paris Hilton is a reality TV star and heiress to the Hilton hotel empire. In 2016, she told Australia’s Channel Ten’s The Project she voted for Donald Trump for U.S. president.

“I’ve known him since I’m a little girl. So yes.”

Trump has known Hilton for awhile. In 2003, Trump told Howard Stern on Stern’s show that she’s always been beautiful. “Somebody who a lot of people don’t give credit to but in actuality is really beautiful, really beautiful, is Paris Hilton,” Trump told Stern. “I’ve known Paris Hilton from the time she’s 12, her parents are friends of mine, and, you know, the first time I saw her she walked into the room and I said, ‘Who the hell is that?’

In 2004, Hilton was part of the Vote of Die campaign, where she and other celebrities urged young people to vote. She wasn’t even registered to vote that year.

Before the 2016 election, Hilton called Trump “a nice man.”

“I think on TV people like to say things about certain people, but he’s actually a very sweet person. I like him a lot,” she said.

In November 2016, Hilton told Marie Claire that Trump’s “grab them by the pussy” comment was locker-room talk.
“I’ve heard guys say the craziest things ever, because I’m always around guys, and I listen to them speak,” she said. She then said Trump’s rape accusers were “just trying to get attention and get fame.”

In the same Marie Claire interview, she says she didn’t vote for Trump; in fact she didn’t vote at all.

“I love the people here, and I don’t think that they should be talked about like that at all,” Hilton says of Trump’s claim that Mexico was sending rapists and criminals over the border. Still, she says, her old family friend, whom she calls “an incredible businessman,” will be a good president.

After that interview was published, Hilton apologized for dismissing the women. “I want to apologize for my comments from an interview I did last year,” Hilton told Us Weekly in 2017. “They were part of a much larger story and I am regretful that they were not delivered in the way I had intended. I was speaking about my own experiences in life and the role of media and fame in our society and it was never my intention for my comments to be misapplied almost a year later.

“Moving forward I will continue to do what I can to be an advocate for girls and women with the hopes of providing a louder voice for those who may desperately need it.”

I don’t believe Paris Hilton is voting. I don’t believe she knows how to register to vote.
