100 Days of Jules, Day 100: What I’ve Learned About Myself And Julianne

Can you believe we’re actually here? 100 days ago I decided against my better judgment to blog about my favorite C-List celebrity Julianne Alexandra Hough for 100 days straight.

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

Can you believe we’re actually here? 100 days ago I decided against my better judgment to blog about my favorite C-List celebrity Julianne Alexandra Hough for 100 days straight. I had tried blogging about anything and everything for 100 days straight before and stopped after 22 or so days. But here I am. I made it.

Every night, between the hours of 9 p.m. and midnight, I would sit down with my laptop and try to figure out what I was going to blog. There were a few weeks I scheduled multiple blogs at once, but toward the end I was writing them one at a time. I typically started out by Googling “Julianne Hough” to see if anything interesting popped up. Then I would search her name on YouTube and see if there was anything I hadn’t seen before.

Most of my free time (I had a lot of it) during these 100 days were spent just watching hours and hours of Julianne Hough interviews on YouTube to see if she said anything off-the-wall or interesting. When I started this project, there were a few things I already knew I wanted to cover — like the time her “nudes” got leaked, her relationship with Tony Robbins, her engagement when she was 18 years old. But everything else, I pretty much had to discover on my own.

I enjoy watching celebrity interviews, so it wasn’t torture for me. And since I began documenting Julianne’s bizarre social media activity in 2018, I’ve grown to find her extremely interesting. I was lucky that on Day 36, Julianne and her husband Brooks Laich announced their separation — something I had been speculating since 2018. Also, toward the end, things got weirder, when Us Weekly began reporting that Julianne wanted Brooks back. 100 Days of Jules attempted to serve as a sort of background on her — I tried to not repeat the things I put on Instagram (the day-to-day things going on with her) with the things I put on my blog (the weird things she said in an interview in 2012, for example). Sometimes I failed, but that’s OK.

I learned Julianne is nothing is not consistent. There were several stories she repeated throughout years of interviews. She also was consistent with her story of discovering herself after a Tony Robbins seminar. I also learned she wasn’t the best at interviews, but that she knew that. In one interview, she said she uses her body and dance to express herself — not words.

During these 100 days, I learned that I can do something for 100 days. I asked my friends and family if they thought we would ever get here and they said they thought I would run out of things to blog about. That was never my concern. I knew Julianne Hough was weird and complex enough to fill up 100 days. I just thought that one night I would fall asleep and forget to schedule a blog or that I would get burnt out and not want to do it anymore. I also learned my creativity is still in-tact. To blog about a C-Lister for 100 days straight takes extreme creativity (coming up with different things to write) and I successfully did it.

If you didn’t get a chance to read all 100 days (wow), here are my top 10 favorites (in no particular order):

100 Days of Jules, Day 99: Julianne Dyed Her Hair Brown

Gasp.

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

It’s unclear if she dyed it with box dye from a drug store or got it professionally done, but it looks like Julianne Hough is a brunette. She hasn’t been a brunette since she starred in Footloose.

Since quarantine, Julianne’s blonde highlighted hair has grown out, leaving her with her natural hair color. (She did dye the tips of her hair pink for a short period of time.) In October 2018, Julianne posted a throwback video of her performance in Footloose and hashtagged #ConsideringBrownHairAgain. Looks like she’s finally done it! Wow! Exciting!

100 Days of Jules, Day 98: Julianne Deleted My Comment

Oh no she didn’t.

Julianne Hough and I are in an all-out war.

On Thursday, July 30, Julianne Hough posted a graphic on her Instagram about world child trafficking day and how we need to fight against it. In the graphic, it was her and others, plus self-help guru Tony Robbins. Minors have accused Tony Robbins of sexual assault, according to BuzzFeed News. Former employees have also said the same thing, according to BuzzFeed News.

Julianne Hough is a big believer in Tony Robbins, something I documented in Day 50.

During a 2015 interview with Lewis Howes, Julianne credited Tony again with her new mindset. She said she didn’t want to go to the seminar at first, but Derek, her brother, wanted her to go. She went with him and her sisters, planning to only stay a few days but ended up staying the whole time.
“He’s so great,” Julianne said during the interview. “I know it sounds crazy because I’m such a believer of Tony Robbins, but it’s because he knows how to communicate with people and connect with people.”
She told Lewis that Tony gave her “clarity and awareness of things that I did and the kind of person I was being without even knowing it.” It helped her realize that when she was younger she wanted to be an entertainer because it was fun. Once she got older, it became about success — even though she says she never felt successful.

I commented on Julianne’s post, “Idea: Disassociate yourself from Tony Robbins, a man who has been accused of sexually assaulting a minor.” Within minutes, the comment was deleted.

100 Days of Jules, Day 97: Julianne Was In A Kid Band With Her Brother

Simon Cowell is also involved in this story.

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

Before she got famous on Dancing With The Stars at the old age of 18, Julianne Hough was training in dance and music at a performing arts school in London. Mark Ballas’ parents were her and her brother’s teachers and she spent most of her time competing in Latin ballroom.

But Julianne, Derek, and Mark also formed a band called 2B1G, which stood for two boys and one girl. Julianne is about 11 in the clips I found online and she looks like a tiny Britney Spears. During the band’s performances, Derek and Mark would take turns ballroom dancing with Julianne and sometimes one person would sing.

While Derek was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Derek tells a story about how Simon Cowell came to their home in London to watch them perform. I guess Simon wasn’t impressed, however, because the pop band never took off.

100 Days of Jules, Day 96: Julianne Keeps Tooting

Guess she’s not perfect.

There are two videos on YouTube of Julianne Hough allegedly farting on national TV. That is two videos too many.

The first video is when Julianne and her Dancing With The Stars partner Helio are backstage waiting for their scores. Toward the end of the video, Julianne says, “Get up off yo thing,” and then farts. Julianne gasps and covers her mouth, Helio laughs, and then all the dancers and stars behind her start laughing.

The second time is when Julianne is judging on America’s Got Talent. She tells the contestant, “You are so weird, and I love weird,” and then bam, she farts. Fellow judge Howie Mandel starts laughing and then Julianne calls other host Simon Cowell a “stinker.” INTERESTING CHOICE OF WORD!!!

Talent Recap picked up the story and asked fans to decide whether it was Julianne or Simon who farted. But Talent Recap also suggest that maybe Simon made a noise into the microphone and because the camera was focused on Julianne, we will never know.

WOW!!!!

100 Days of Jules, Day 95: Cellphone Usage Was A Problem In Julianne’s Marriage

Am I on to something?

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

Before they announced they were separating, Julianne Hough and her estranged husband Brooks Laich were vocal about their “no cellphone in the bedroom” rule.

While Julianne was on Brooks’ podcast How Men Think, Brooks opened up about his disdain for cellphones in the bedroom.

“Sometimes if you come to bed and then I’m waiting in bed and you’re like, ‘OK, one second’ and you’re like sending an email or you’re checking an Instagram or something and then sometimes you’ve said, ‘OK, I’m done,’ and you plug in your phone and then you roll over to me… I’m like, ‘OK, well, I just waited for my wife. I’m second in line to her phone or what she’s sending?'” Laich said, according to ET Online. “I really take that deeply, like, that’s deep cut for me. We’ve worked on that and I’ve voiced that. Nobody’s perfect.”

It sounds like this was a problem in their relationship. It’s no surprise that Julianne, who is constantly updating her Instagram, probably took her cellphone to the bedroom one too many times for Brooks’ liking because during that same podcast episode, Julianne admitted she falls short on that front sometimes. “I think we’re on the phone a lot, and that five minutes that I come home and I’m on my phone and I don’t give you presence or you don’t give me presence, it sets the tone for the rest of the evening,” she said.

Brooks showed his problem with this in a YouTube video about the couple cooking together on his YouTube channel. While Brooks is talking to the cameraman about cooking with Julianne, Julianne stands there looking at her phone.

“Hello,” Brooks says to Julianne while she ignores him. “Clearly. Clearly a bonding thing, eh.”

WAS THIS A MAJOR PROBLEM IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP? PROBABLY.

100 Days of Jules, Day 94: "The heart-to-heart thing — that changed my world."

Deep.

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

While speaking at the LOVELOUD concert or conference for LGBTQ youth (I’m not sure) in Utah, Julianne Hough explained that in the past she has been hesitant to speak on issues because the idea of being politically correct scared her.

But that seemed to go away in September 2017 when she told the LOVELOUD audience that protecting and supporting LGBTQ youth was important to her. She says even though she wouldn’t trade growing up in Utah for anything, she feels lucky to spend a lot of her youth in London because it was there she met people with different backgrounds and beliefs than her. (It’s also important to note that she was born in Utah and then left for London at age 10. After she left London, she moved to Las Vegas, so she didn’t spend a ton of time in Utah.)

During her speech, Julianne asks the audience to feel their heartbeat. Then she asks them to hug their neighbor “heart-to-heart.”

“It feels good, right?” she yells into the microphone. “I’m telling you, the heart-to-heart thing — that changed my world.”

This conference is significant for Julianne because a few months earlier she married Brooks Laich and it would be a month or two later she would reveal to him that she’s “not straight.”

100 Days of Jules, Day 93: What Is Going On Here?

The one where Julianne and Derek do charity work.

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

In 2014, Julianne and Derek Hough performed for the Boys and Girls Club in Houston, along with their MOVE Live Beyond cast.

In the YouTube video, it appears they are in a gym performing to a Pharrell song. The weird part about it, however, is the volume of the music is incredibly low and none of the kids seems to be enjoying it. Almost everyone is silent while Julianne, Derek, and their backup dancers perform. It’s so quiet, I’m pretty sure you can hear Derek counting the steps while dancing.

It is one of the more awkward videos I’ve seen.

100 Days of Jules, Day 92: Julianne Wants Brooks Back

Omg, make up your mind already, girlie.

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

According to Us Weekly, Julianne Hough wants estranged husband Brooks Laich back just two months after they announced their separation. According to E! News, Brooks is “open” to the idea of getting back together.

This is just.

I just.

I don’t know what to say and at this point, I’m exhausted.

Not only does Julianne Hough sound like the most toxic person alive (you break up with him and step out with Ben Barnes and then all of a sudden want him back), but I feel like she’s playing with us. Reports that she wants him back come out and then she comments on his Instagram “thirst trap” photo complimenting his butt. Then when everyone freaks out, she posts an Instagram with the hashtag #singleasapringle. Are you, though??????

Not only that, but she has been IGing videos of their dog, Koda. Then Brooks will post a photo of Koda, making me think they are living under the same roof.

What is going on??????

100 Days of Jules, Day 91: "She’s perfect. She’s like perfect."

Taylor Swift said it!

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

In 2008, there was a time when young white blonde woman ruled country music. Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, Jessica Simpson, and yes, Julianne Hough.

They ruled so much so that Taylor, Kellie, and Julianne hosted the 2008 CMA Fest and to promote it, they did a photoshoot with People Magazine.

“I didn’t even know she liked to sing country music — so cool,” Taylor says about Julianne. “I saw you at a party, remember at Christmas, and I was like, so star struck.”

This is when Taylor was 18 and Julianne was probably 20 — maybe 21. If you remember, Taylor and Kellie were best friends back then. During the entire photoshoot, Taylor and Kellie are making inside jokes and Julianne is the awkward outsider.

“You have to make fun of yourself,” Taylor tells the camera. “And Julianne is good because she just laughs at everything.” (That is true.)

Julianne tells the camera what makes Taylor and Kellie so awesome — Taylor writes her own songs and isn’t afraid to call out a guy if she doesn’t like him and Kellie is the epitome of a classy woman. Taylor and Kellie tell Julianne how hot she is.

“I was like looking at her and I was like, I need to go work out,” Taylor says. “She’s perfect. She’s like perfect.”

Country music peaked in 2008.
